AIDA Awards presented at the Design Week Lagos 2025
October 25, 2025The AIDA Awards were proudly presented by Astrid Hébert, Founder and Director of 3C Group, together with Bibi Seck, Head of the Jury, during Design Week Lagos, in front of an audience of more than 250 designers and architects. This moment marked an important milestone for the program, introducing its mission to one of Africa’s most vibrant and influential design communities. Astrid and Bibi shared the core vision of the Awards: to celebrate African creativity on a global stage, empower both emerging and established talent across the continent and its diaspora, and build a platform that elevates design as a catalyst for cultural identity, innovation, and economic transformation. Their message emphasized representation, access, and the collective responsibility of the design community to shape the future of African aesthetics and creative industries.
They were joined on stage by esteemed Jury members Titi Ogufere (CEO, Africa Design Network) and Seun Olatunji (Founder & Design Strategist, OLAT Design Consultancy), whose participation reinforced the strength, credibility, and pan-African spirit behind the AIDA initiative. Together, they delivered an inspiring call to action—inviting designers to participate, collaborate, and contribute to a new chapter where African design voices are recognized, celebrated, and amplified.
