Product Description:
The Mr and Mrs chairs from the KARAKTAR collection are inspired by ancient African assemble chairs, specifically the "Agbantara" chair, commonly found in Nigeria's Yoruba land. Also called "palaver chair"This design is now popular worldwide, with various African countries adapting it. The chairs are carved from two wooden planks for the seat and back, symbolizing strength and unity. Made from thick mahogany sapele wood, they feature delicate masks and patterns. The "Mr and Mrs" title represents a couple, perfect for sharing moments and discussions. A matching stool, inspired by kitchen mortars, often accompanies the chairs, adding to their unique charm
Product Innovation / Specification:
The Mr and Mrs chairs are innovative in that they showcase the beauty of local, natural materials and traditional craftsmanship in a time when imported and processed woods are common. By using durable, strong mahogany sapele wood and natural staining techniques, the chairs gain a unique character that's hard to replicate. The handmade patterns and natural shades make each piece one-of-a-kind, and their sturdy build ensures they'll be treasured for years to come. Plus, their versatility means they fit seamlessly into various spaces, blending tradition with modern decor
