Product Description:
This ceiling lamp captures the essence of Egypt's Black Oasis through a carefully curated composition of alabaster fragments suspended in deliberate asymmetry. Each piece recalls ancient stone formations, while the warm wooden base provides an elegant counterpoint to the ethereal alabaster elements. Together, they orchestrate a refined interplay of light and shadow, infusing interiors with understated elegance and contemplative ambiance. Ceiling plate: 85x140x5 cm Alabaster plate: 30x50 cm Wire length: 2 meter Material: Soft Alabaster & metal Alabaster is an Ancient Egyptian fine-grained stone that has been used for centuries for carvings, and other ornaments. It normally is snow-white and translucent.
Product Innovation / Specification:
"The Black O innovates by using alabaster plates in organic, random shapes, creating a smooth, sculptural feel. By utilizing the natural translucency of alabaster, the piece emits a soft, ambient glow. This combination of organic form and functional lighting makes it both an art piece and a practical fixture, redefining how alabaster is used in lighting design."
Product Sustainability Approach:
"The sustainability approach of this piece lies in the natural alabaster material. Alabaster, as a locally sourced and long-lasting natural stone, reduces the need for frequent replacements. It is responsibly harvested and requires minimal processing, making it an environmentally conscious choice. The inherent durability and timelessness of alabaster ensure that this product supports a sustainable, long-term design approach."
Local and Regional Impacts of the Product:
"Our product supports local artisans, preserving and promoting regional craftsmanship. By using locally sourced alabaster, we minimize environmental impact and support sustainable, long-lasting design. Additionally, the piece revitalizes traditional stonework in a modern context, fostering pride in our cultural heritage."
