Project Innovation / Specification:
The vibrant fabric included on the pod in the centre of the space is a unique design, a digital scan of a mosaic artwork made in the Union House building, photographed and printed on upholstery fabric, this application not only reflects a unique aesthetic but also earns the artist a licence fee for the usage. In addition and also included in this space are numerous examples of a wonderful initiative by Clout/SA, a pattern licensing application that enables young creatives to share culturally rooted narratives through interior products and earn a passive income, from sales of fabric, accessories and many other applications.

Environmental Practices:
As a business curating South African design, we prioritise lighting and furniture from makers committed to sustainability and zero waste. We work with companies like Modern Gesture and Pedersen and Lennard, who repurpose offcuts, and Wiid Design, which uses sustainably grown cork. Designers such as Mash T celebrate traditional craft, while Ashanti Design upcycles textile waste into woven lighting. We champion ethical, small-scale South African makers focused on innovation, skills development, and excellence.
