Project Description:
“Inspired by the Oued river that flows through the landscapes of the Maghreb region, the collective serves as a meeting point for designers and creators who share similar values and concerns. At the crossroads of design and cultural richness, we celebrate the art of doing more with less, while elevating Moroccan craftsmanship. Each piece tells a story where creation meets the opulence of materials, textures, and inspirations.”
Project Innovation / Specification:
The collection plays with contrasts, blending heritage and modernity by reinterpreting traditional symbols through a bold and contemporary aesthetic. The codes of classic tailoring, streetwear, and rock are subverted with artisanal touches, creating a hybrid stylistic language between ancestral craftsmanship and urban subversion. This statement collection narrates the story of an urban and contemporary Morocco. Its inspirations and reimagined symbols include the tarbouche and metallic jeweled pompoms, oversized cyber-Amazigh headpieces and earrings, textile manipulations using sfifa, as well as reinterpretations of classic, streetwear, and rock wardrobe codes. The collection also features T-shirts paying tribute to couture and informal textile craftsmanship, inspired by Casablanca’s iconic locations such as Derb Omar and Souk Dallas.
Project Sustainability Approach:
Through craftsmanship and eco-responsible textile industry practices, we transform resources into timeless treasures that embody a unique balance — a design infused with depth, shaped by the soul and the hand of Morocco. It all began with a forgotten material precious, yet left unused. In the storerooms of couture houses, exceptional fabrics lie dormant, remnants of past collections. Thanks to the stock donations from Balmain and denim manufacturer Evlox, the collective brings these materials back to life, transforming them into unique creations that blend heritage, innovation, and commitment to a circular and responsible fashion all while supporting emerging Moroccan talent.
Local and Regional Impacts of the Project:
ChatGPT a dit : We collaborate with local startups, multigenerational artisans, and innovative manufacturers — together, we shine a light on a Moroccan fashion that is both contemporary and globally connected. We stand at a crossroads. Through our creative hub (CFC Anfa Park, Casablanca), we inspire, engage, share, and connect professionals from the worlds of fashion, design, and textiles. Fashion and design become our form of soft power — a means to influence, elevate, and unite through creativity.
